What is Next for Andrew Farkas After Selling Most of His Businesses?

Andrew Farkas sat with The Commercial Observer in February over the course of a couple of Zoom calls to discuss his career, and what is next on the horizon for him.

After graduating from Harvard, Farkas began his success by starting Insignia Financial Group. At its summit, Insignia oversaw apartments and commercial real estate. After its sale, Farkas started Island Capital Group and began to purchase real estate in New York. His third major success was the collection of businesses named C-III which has been increasingly monetized over the past year and a half.

Now, he has started his year strong after experiencing one of the best years he’s had. Farkas has ventured into the Hotel and Hospitality industry by purchasing Lexington Hotel and the Sheraton Times Square. The Lexington and Sheraton were both closed at the time of Farkas’ purchase but now have a 95 percent occupancy rate.

Farkas understands that he has been fortunate to experience many successes. Andrew Farkas continues to develop his businesses and learn from the ever changing global markets.
